It also unlocks two new abilities, depending on the selected mode: When equipped in any console slot, these consoles allow the Chimera to switch between Regenerative and Tactical modes. The Chimera Heavy Destroyer can utilize or from her Tier 6 counterpart. Each nacelle is separated by a short pylon that retracts when at warp, pulling together to form a more compact appearance.Ĭomplete this tier of Starship Mastery to be allowed to claim this starship on any character on this account. Four nacelles are attached to level pylons extending from the rear of the hull. The ship has a large deflector dish protruding from the bottom of the saucer. In its default mode, the Chimera's structure features an integrated saucer and hull. The center portions of the saucer, near the bridge, also raise up to expose the Chimera's Phaser Lotus Array, and the rear pylons angle downwards to move the nacelles below the saucer. Portions in the middle of the saucer sink lower, pushing the lower saucer to partially obscure the deflector dish. When engaging Tactical Mode, the Chimera's saucer splits, with the outer edges expanding and locking into 3 sections. The console effectively turns the Chimera into a "transformer", with three different appearances. The Chimera's most striking trait is by far the change in appearance enabled by the Dynamic Tactical System. When in Sector Space, the Chimera's pylons angle upwards, like those of the Intrepid class and its sister classes.
